Rates

Our standard 45-minute psychotherapy sessions are priced at $275, and 60-minute sessions are $350. Payment is required in full at the time of the session, irrespective of any insurance reimbursement you may receive.

Billing

Soho Integrative EMDR is a division of Soho Integrative Psychological Services, PLLC. Therefore, when you receive a bill for our services, it will come from Soho Integrative Psychological Services. As licensed psychologists, we offer psychotherapy, using various therapeutic techniques to provide psychological services.

INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT: OUT OF NETWORK

Soho Integrative Psychological Services is not an in-network provider with any insurance companies. However, many of our clients receive 50%-100% reimbursement for our services from their insurance once they have met their deductible, typically through PPO plans that cover out-of-network psychotherapy. Please note that HMOs and most government insurance plans generally do not offer reimbursement for our services.

REIMBURSEMENT CALCULATOR

We are delighted to share that we've formed a collaboration with Mentaya, a HIPAA-compliant platform, to assist you in comprehending your benefits. Please be aware that this is an added service to aid in verifying your benefits, but we do not guarantee its accuracy or your insurance company's commitment to reimbursement.

Mentaya is not a service we use for submission, however, it is the only free tool to calculate your possible reimbursement.

REIMBURSEMENT PROCESS

We aim to make the reimbursement process as simple as possible by partnering with Reimbursify, a HIPAA-compliant platform that submits your statements directly to your insurance company and allows you to track what has been submitted on your behalf.

After you have paid for your sessions in full, we will send you a monthly statement. You can use this statement to request reimbursement from your insurance provider. To submit for reimbursement, you have three options.

1.

Through your insurance company directly: Most health insurance sites have their own process for reimbursement. To use their process, please call them and ask them about submitting statements for reimbursement for out-of-network therapy.

2.

Authorizing us to submit through Reimbursify on your behalf. If this option appeals to you, kindly reach out to our Clinical Coordinator at: billing@sohointegrative.com with your insurance details and give us permission to submit your statements.

3.

Authorizing us to submit for you through Reimbursify.  If this option appeals to you, kindly reach out to our Clinical Coordinator at: billing@sohointegrative.com with your insurance details and give us permission to submit monthly on your behalf.

Please be aware that we offer this service as a courtesy and do not guarantee your insurance company's approval for reimbursement. While we strive to streamline the process to minimize denial, we cannot be held accountable for the policies or denials of reimbursement by your insurance company. Regardless of reimbursement status, payment is required from you at the time of the session.

Lateness policy

Please make sure to arrive or log in 10 minutes before your confirmed appointment to begin promptly. Your time slot has been specially reserved for you, and typically, another client session is lined up right after yours. Keep in mind, you'll be billed the complete session fee even if you don't start on time.

Cancellation Policy

We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment. Missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will incur the full session fee.

FAQ ABOUT RATES AND INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT

1.Do you take insurance?

We do not accept insurance as we are an out-of-network provider. Being out-of-network means that we have not entered into a contract with any insurance companies to provide services at predetermined rates. Consequently, full payment is required at the time of service. You may be entitled to reimbursement, however, if your insurance provides out-of-network reimbursement for mental health services.

2. Do all plans cover out-of-network mental health?

No, not all insurance plans cover out-of-network mental health services. Insurance coverage for mental health services, especially for out-of-network providers, varies widely among different plans and insurance companies. HMO’s and government plans very rarely reimburse.

Some plans may offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services, while others may not provide any coverage at all. Even within plans that do offer out-of-network benefits, the reimbursement rate, deductible, and process for submitting statements for reimbursement can differ significantly.

3. When and how will I receive my statement for reimbursement?

Your statement for reimbursement will come through your Simple Practice Patient Portal at the end of each month after sessions are paid in full. If you would like it earlier, please contact your therapist directly.

4. What CPT do you typically use?

Our regular sessions are coded as 90834, which simply means it's a standard 45-minute individual therapy appointment. Some insurance companies, like Aetna, might need a modifier, number 95, on your paperwork. Please let us know if you need this additional code added to your statements.

5. Are there sliding scale options?

We do not offer a sliding scale, but proudly support organizations that offer sliding scales and are happy to help you navigate that process. Please refer to our "Affiliated Providers" page for our recommendations.

6. Do you accept cash, credit cards, or checks?

Payment is processed through our portal and we accept only credit cards or HSA (Health Savings Account) credit cards. However, we welcome all types of credit cards for your convenience.

7. What are some reasons insurance won’t reimburse for services?

Your insurance might not reimburse for a few reasons, like a small mistake when you submit it, using the wrong code, or because you haven’t met your deductible yet. They might also not cover therapists who aren’t in their network. Make sure to check that you have out-of-network coverage before you start therapy.

8. What steps should I take if my insurance does not reimburse me?

If your insurance does not reimburse you or reimburses a different amount than expected, please reach out to them directly to seek clarity or check if additional information is needed. Although reimbursement discussions are primarily between you and your insurance provider, we're here to assist should they require more documentation from us.
